Nomzamo Mbatha Donates R1.5 Million To Fight Covid-19 In Africa

Without a doubt, Nomzamo Mbatha is one of the celebs in Mzansi that has a big heart. She has been helping the needy since she was introduced to us and now she’s also doing the most in trying to fight this pandemic in the World.
The former Isibaya actress who is now based abroad said opened up to us on the role she’splaying in helping to ease the crisis that the African continent is currently enduring.
The star was interviewed by SABC news anchor Chriselda Lewis on Friday and she revealed that foundation The Lighthouse will be donating, 1.5 million towards the COVID-19relief.
One other that she shed the light was how she came about on naming her foundation. Explaining this Nomzamo said: “I called my foundation ‘The Lighthouse Foundation’ because in the midst of a storm, a fisherman will look for the lighthouse, and that’s their form of refuge.
“That’s what I want my foundation to stand for. We are your sanctuary, when you look out there, you see a light, that’s the lighthouse. So, you can come to us, and we will be able to assist you.”
The actress also explained that the funds will be donated to various NGOs, NPOs and impoverished households.
