What is the OUTbonus?
The OUTbonus is a cash bonus that rewards you for not claiming. Should you not claim for three consecutive years, you will receive 10% of your premiums paid in this period at the end of the third year in real South African Rands to spend to your heart's content. Should you not claim for a further two years you will receive 10% of the premiums paid within this period at the end of the fifth year. Thereafter for each successive claim-free year, you will receive a set percentage of all your premiums paid within the year at the end of each year.
Can I take a loan against my OUTbonus?
The OUTbonus is only payable after a three year claim-free period and does not build up any loan value.

The Department of Correctional Services has fired an officer who features in a scandalous video. Footage of the correctional officer having doing so with a policewoman at a Krugersdorp prison hospital was published by the Sowetan newspaper on August 15. The pictures sparked a national outcry and caused embarrassment to both the police and the Department of Correctional Services. The pair, who were both in uniform, were on duty and supposed to be guarding a prisoner at the hospital. The two officers are both married. The correctional officer, who attempted to resign after the scandal broke, admitted he had filmed the sexual encounter. Confirming the dismissal yesterday, department spokesman Promise Khumalo said the correctional officer, who was based at Krugersdorp Correctional Centre, had been charged with bringing the department into disrepute by contravening its code of conduct and with breaching internal security measures. You might have seen pictures of a police-woman undressing in a living room on social media with all sorts of different captions. Others were bashing her for cheating others were bashing her Nigerian lover for posting the pictures which were are very private.  And it kind of look like she did not give permission for the pics to be taken. When she realized that her home was wrecked she did not think twice before she headed to her lovers flat to confront him and things might have gotten heated up because she used her work pistol to shot him straight in the head. She called the police from the scene and she’s now in custody. It is too early to say whether it was premeditated murder of self-defense.
